Josephine Clarke Textiles
I sell textile accessories that are all naturally dyed with plant based materials. I dye all of the items by hand in small batches in my home studio. I grow or forage many of the plants I use, and I practice zero-waste construction so every piece of fabric gets used with no scraps left over. All fabrics are natural fibres. I use silk, linen, and organic cotton and cotton blends.
The designs are created via Shibori, which is the practice of tying or compressing cloth between woodblocks to create negative space patterns.
